On November 15, 2024, the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin (RSB) presents the opening of its new concert series "Jazzik", which fuses jazz, classical and minimal music. Under the title "Ozone meets Bernstein", the program of the format premiere offers a juxtaposition of two musical worlds:
The Japanese jazz pianist Makoto Ozone makes his debut with the RSB and brings the European premiere of his own piano concerto "Mogami" to Berlin, accompanied by the RSB under the direction of Duncan Ward. The second part of the evening will be taken up by Leonard Bernstein's "Symphonic Dances" from "West Side Story".
