Virtual tour of the history of Kemal Altun Square

We will meet in the boiler house of the Ottensen district archive and go on an exciting virtual tour of Kemal-Altun-Platz together. Using numerous photos, we will talk about the history of the village that once stood here, about the Menck & Hambrock factory, which built excavators until the early 1970s, about the protests against commercial use of the site and about how the population took possession of the square and ensured a social and diverse design in the heart of Ottensen.
