Their sabbatical together is already enough of a test for the couple Tara and Robert and their daughter Nia.
When Robert's brother Joni turns up, their stay in Greece gradually turns into a family baptism of fire.

Tara and Robert are stuck. They almost split up. To save their relationship
relationship, they take some time out with their daughter in Greece. But when the tourists leave and the weather gets rougher, the problems return with a vengeance. When Robert's little brother unexpectedly turns up on the doorstep, the situation comes to a head.

SABBATICAL is directed by Judith Angerbauer and focuses on Tara's creative crisis, but above all on a couple's failed escape from their familiar world in order to escape their crisis. The drama stars Seyneb Saleh in the role of Tara and Trystan Pütter as her partner Robert. Her daughter Nia is played by Zoë Baier. Sebastian Urzendowsky plays Robert's brother Jonathan, who suddenly appears in Greece. The ensemble is completed by Ulrike Willenbacher as grandmother Marlies and Bernhard Schütz as grandfather Hans.
