In the organizer's words:
Robin is fourteen and, along with her group, set fire to an oil company’s logo. Aaron is fourteen and accidentally trapped a police officer’s hand in a door while trying to fight the eviction of his family.
Both end up behind bars. But not in a prison, rather in a digital space right in the middle of the internet. Links pop up, a friendly help bot reminds them to follow the terms of service, and Robin and Aaron apologize before a virtual court. When Joan of Arc then appears, speaking in the flesh about her own struggles of resistance, reality finally begins to waver. History collides with the present and confronts the two teenagers with the question: what are they willing to do for their ideals?
Renowned Dutch director Liesbeth Coltof and the multi-award-winning Leipzig-based playwright Fayer Koch have developed a new play that, drawing on the story of Joan of Arc, asks how you and I respond to an unjust world today.
