Finally, Werkself is back! 

On Saturday, August 8, Bayer 04 kicks off the upcoming 2026–27 season with its season opener. But there’s much more than just a doubleheader in store for the Werkself fans. True to the motto “One Day. Two Teams. One Club,”the BayArena and the Ulrich-Haberland-Stadion will be transformed into a world of excitement.

What makes it special: At the season opener, both theBayer 04 women’s team against Feyenoord Rotterdam(kickoff: 1:15 p.m., Ulrich-Haberland-Stadion) and themen’s team against FC Sevilla(kickoff: 3:30 p.m., BayArena) will take the field on the same day—and Bayer 04 fans can experience bothwith just one ticket.

Numerous activities surrounding the two friendly matches invite fans to experience the club in a variety of ways. The program around the BayArena kicks off even before the first ball is played. Here’san overview of the day:

Starting at 11:30 a.m., former Bayer 04 pros and sporting director Simon Rolfes invite you to the Legends Brunch. Enjoy a friendly cup of coffee with Karim Bellarabi, Rüdiger Vollborn, and several other Werkself legends.

Also starting at 11:30 a.m., the area around the BayArena will transform into a diverse world of experiences for the whole family:

If you want to explore as much as possible and win a prize in the process, be sure to grab your Werkself Pass at the volunteer booth right at the start of the day! Modeled after a classic passport, it takes Bayer 04 fans on a discovery tour across the entire event grounds via a stamp hunt—mission by mission.

Starting at 1:15 p.m., the first dose of professional soccer kicks off: Our Bayer 04 women’s team will face Feyenoord Rotterdam at the Ulrich-Haberland-Stadion.

Starting at 3:30 p.m., the ball will be rolling again at the BayArena. The Werkself will face FC Sevilla.

Afterward, it’s time to head out of the locker room and into the action. All the players will mingle with the fans simultaneously at a total of eight scattered experience stations. You can view the full program HERE.
