SALON ROSIE - Das Musical

SALON ROSIE – The Musical is a new German musical by Peter Plate, Ulf Leo Sommer, and Joshua Lange, and will be performed at the Stage Theater des Westens in Berlin starting in fall 2026. As a humorous and emotional prequel to WIR SIND AM LEBEN – The Berlin Musical, it tells a story of family, unfulfilled dreams, and the question of why siblings take such different paths despite sharing a common past.

The story centers on twin sisters Rosi and Gabi Fröhlich. Just as Rosi’s beloved hair salon is on the verge of closing, her sister Gabi suddenly reappears—once a celebrated GDR pop star, now almost forgotten. Amid envy, wounded pride, and old conflicts, a reunion unfolds that is as funny as it is touching, forcing both sisters to confront their past.

Featuring the greatest hits and new songs by Peter Plate, Ulf Leo Sommer, and Joshua Lange, a live band, sharp humor, and plenty of heart, SALON ROSIE – The Musical combines rousing music, emotional moments, and strong characters into an entertaining musical experience full of wit, nostalgia, and emotion.
