Ensemble Recherche - Participatory and inclusive children's concert

Get ready for a musical dive! Water is changeable. Most people have an idea of what it sounds like: splashing, rushing, pattering, dripping.

But what does water sound like underwater? And what does the salt in it sound like? To get to the bottom of these questions, Mats Emil Dreyer dives into the water. Together with sound artist Lukas Nowok, he (re)discovers sounds of a flowing and crystalline nature. Their "soundtrack" of various aggregate states makes the sound of the medium that surrounds us during a dive truly audible - but also visible. After all, we can only communicate underwater with gestures, signs and light signals! Fittingly, the starting point for the work of the Freiburg-based Ensemble Recherche, which is at work here, is the critical sonic and intellectual exploration of their environment. The musicians' collective, founded in 1985, has created a participatory concert with Dreyer, born in Copenhagen in 1986, and Tjøgersen, born in Oslo in 1982, which is capable of seducing not only children to listen more consciously.
