Migration has been increasingly shaping the political and social debate in Europe and Germany for years. The topic is particularly topical in the Ruhr area, a region traditionally characterized by migration.
In this edition of "Samma & Hömma", we would like to discuss how politics and civil society can work together to tackle and shape the challenges of migration. Among other things, we want to look at the European asylum system, the fight against the causes of flight and the opportunities and risks associated with migration partnerships with third countries. We also want to take a closer look at local integration approaches in the Ruhr region.
We cordially invite you to join our panel of migration experts for a personal discussion and constructive debate on strategies for successful cooperation in the Ruhr region, as well as throughout Germany and Europe. To this end, you as participants will come together in group discussions after an input with the experts.
You are cordially invited to bring friends, family or colleagues to our public event series and to forward the invitation to anyone who might be interested.
Admission is free, drinks and snacks will be provided. Places are limited - please register by Thursday, October 24, 2024 . If you have any questions, please contact Franziska Kassing (kassing@dgap.org).
We look forward to your participation and a lively discussion.
