Our welfare state is in crisis. While some enjoy inheritance and a career, others are destitute with no work, no home and no assets. Every fifth child grows up in poverty. Every third single parent is dependent on transfer payments. Millions of "top-ups" need state assistance despite working. People affected by poverty are marginalized and stigmatized. Even the new citizen's income does nothing to change this. Is this the welfare state we want?

We say no!
