In a career spanning more than 15 years, Swedish folk musician Sara Parkman has succeeded in redefining the genre through a fusion of tradition and bold innovation. By simultaneously embracing and questioning the traditions of Swedish folk music, she has created her own musical universe as a violinist, singer and composer, with which she has become the figurehead of contemporary Swedish folk music. On her latest album "Eros, Agape, Philia", Parkman took the three different ancient Greek terms for love as the starting point for her very own artistic approach. Her passion for mixing the most diverse and contradictory perceptions, perspectives and things together also characterizes her impressive live performances.
