Sarah Lesch, born in 1986, is one of the most important protagonists of the new German singer-songwriter scene with five albums and numerous awards to her name. With her song "Testament", which she originally wrote for her son and against the brutalization of society, she won the protest song contest in Vienna in 2016. The lyrical and subtle songs by the Leipzig-based singer-songwriter deal with the big issues on a small scale and observe everyday life and the world from a perspective that is always close to the action and is not afraid to take a close look at uncomfortable topics.
