Sarah McQuaid, singer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter with Spanish-American roots, lets her voice resonate in the room in this concert - straight from Cornwall and straight to the heart. Known for her acclaimed album The St Buryan Sessions, she lives for atmospheric folk moments that seem both close and distant at the same time.

In 2021, she recorded this live-in-lockdown album in the medieval church of St Buryan - alone with her acoustic and electric guitar, the piano, a floor tom drum and her velvety alto, which gets lost in the vast church space. Critics have hailed her as the heir to a traditional folk voice, with a sound somewhere between Nick Drake, Sandy Denny and Joan Baez, and a stage presence that "hits listeners right in the heart with gentle intensity"

You can expect an evening full of lyrical depth, unobtrusive virtuosity and that special calm that only music can create - in moments that linger for a long time.
