Sasja has been wondering what it's like over there, in the realm beyond the sea, ever since his mom fell ill. Death is said to live there, how can he be outwitted? - Then one night it really happens, he comes and takes Sasja's mom away. Sasja grabs a rowing boat and sets off after the two of them. A great adventure begins: Sasja has to hike across the realm of death, through the Shadow Forest and Misty Heath and even climb over the Three Rocks. Fortunately, he finds wonderful friends: the good-natured Trine and the courageous Princess of Sparta - until Sasja finally comes face to face with Death. But in Death's house, everything is different than expected: there is cake and games in the garden all day long, you don't have to change your clothes and you don't have to do the washing up either. Sasja's mom is sitting here and doesn't want to leave. Can he get her back?
