Nils Strunk, actor, musician and director of the Burgtheater ensemble, throws himself into his plays with skin and hair to bring hidden depths to light. In the stage adaptation of Stefan Zweig's "Schachnovelle", conceived together with Lukas Schrenk, he is on top form for two hours: he declaims, dances, plays the piano and changes roles at lightning speed. In Strunk's performance, the novella about power, powerlessness and the strength of the spirit unfolds its gripping topicality.
