Nils Strunk, actor, musician and director of the Burgtheater ensemble, dives into his plays with skin and hair and brings hidden depths to light. In the stage adaptation of Stefan Zweig's "Schachnovelle", developed together with Lukas Schrenk, he is on top form for two hours, declaiming, dancing, playing the piano and changing roles at lightning speed. The novella about power, powerlessness and the strength of the human spirit unfolds its gripping topicality in Strunk's brilliant performance.
