Architectural models have a special aesthetic appeal. They fascinate with their vividness, their variety of materials and their visionary power. Even in the digital age, they have by no means lost their significance as a three-dimensional working tool, competition entry or presentation object in practice. Within research, they are a source of lasting relevance.

Exclusive insights into the Academy of Arts' outstanding collection of architectural models are now possible in the Schaudepot. A selection of the more than 750 models from the architectural archive by over 50 architectural artists will be on display.

To mark the opening, a panel discussion will explore the value of architectural models for practice and research. This will be followed by short guided tours of the Schaudepot.
