Nina wants to become a writer. With tips from her determined neighbor, an established author, she sets out to write her first story—and ends up becoming the main character herself. She writes about her family, her daily life at school and on the sports field, and her first love—and in the process delves deeper and deeper into the life of her mother, who died young.
