Traumschüff Theater Oranienburg: “Bibergeil”

Starting in late August, the DKB Foundation for Social Engagement invites you to a diverse program of readings, history, art, and theater at the historic complex of Liebenberg Castle and Estate.

With “Bibergeil,” the Traumschüff Theater Oranienburg brings a humorous story about home, nature, and power to the stage. Farmer Thomas and a beaver find themselves involuntarily sharing the same cornfield: While Thomas sows his crops, the strictly protected rodent dams up the water and floods his field—a nuisance the farmer would dearly love to put an end to. But his daughter Kati is not only rebellious but also a staunch animal rights activist, and she stands up to him. With humor and music, the play explores the countryside, responsibility, and the coexistence of humans and nature.
