The popular traditional event, which has been taking place for over 40 years above the rooftops of Freiburg's city center in an impressive setting, can be visited again this year over nine days from August 2 to 11, 2024.
For the second time, the festival will be held as the "Freiburg Edition". In order to make the Freiburg Culture Festival authentic and make a clear statement, we have once again placed particular emphasis on booking a large number of bands from Freiburg and the region (89% in total). In addition, we have not missed the opportunity to bring you special treats from further afield, such as the band Rootsman Fyah, who will be making their way from the Allgäu to the southern Black Forest.
The bands create a special atmosphere with rock, pop, folk, funk, Latin, reggae and soul, which is rounded off by the electronic sounds of the DJs. As every year, the music is accompanied by numerous fairy lights that invite you to dance into the summer nights.
In 2024, our guests can once again look forward to a varied musical program on a total of 9 event days with 3 stages.

- Six to eight bands/acts will play on the three stages each day. A total of 38 bands, 2 live acts and 26 DJs - 66 artists in all - will be performing at the Schlossberg Festival this year
- Admission is €4 to a maximum of €5, depending on the day of the event. Children and young people up to the age of 12 are free (proof of age required)
- Happy hour between 6.00 pm and 7.00 pm (Tue, Wed, Thu)
