Following guest appearances by top-class pianists such as Fazıl Say, Mao Fujita and Lucas Debargue at Schloss Gödens in previous years, another renowned artist is more than worthy to continue this list: Yulianna Avdeeva. The Moscow-born pianist, who has lived in Munich for many years, made her international breakthrough in 2010 when she became the first Russian and only the fourth woman ever (after Martha Argerich in 1965) to win the prestigious Chopin Competition in Warsaw. However, the artist, who is both highly present and reserved, avoided the hype and today we experience a mature musician on stage whose interpretations are appreciated worldwide. With her captivating combination of virtuosity, clarity, energy and elegance, she is a compelling narrator on the grand piano. When Yulianna Avdeeva now interprets the pinnacles of piano artistry by Bach, Beethoven and Chopin in her recital, she will once again be able to underline her leading position among the pianists of our time with magical sounds full of poetry!
