In the Octet in F major, Franz Schubert shows all his artistry. It combines lightness and depth, dance-like rhythms and intimate melodies that sound like an intimate conversation between friends.
He was inspired by the famous septet of his predecessor Beethoven, but created something entirely his own: music that sounds like a great adventure, in which each voice - from the string quartet to the clarinet, bassoon and horn - contributes its own character.
The octet is not only a delight for lovers of chamber music, but also a great introduction for anyone who wants to discover the magic of small ensembles.
