The motto of the opening of the 49th Dresden Music Festival is "LEICHTIGKEIT DES SEINS", combining humorous lightness with artistic seriousness. Olaf Schubert will lead through the evening with ironic charm, accompanied by Jan Vogler, the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Tabita Berglund. Works by Weber, Dutilleux and Mussorgsky combine wit, depth and musical variety.
