Schwanen Jam Session

The Schwanen Jam Session goes into the next round: since 2024, the Kulturhaus Schwanen has been inviting musicians and listeners to an open evening for making music together, exchanging ideas and spontaneous encounters in cooperation with the Stuttgart Feierabendkollektiv. The dates of the 2026/2027 season will take place on selected Tuesdays at Kulturhaus Schwanen Waiblingen; each event starts at 7 pm, with set-up for those interested in technology from 6 pm.

The Schwanen Jam Session is aimed at anyone who wants to create music in the moment: Beginners, experienced players, band seekers, those curious about the stage, professionals, after-work musicians and people who want to unpack their instrument again after a long break. There are no stylistic boundaries. Jazz, rock, pop, funk, soul, classical music, free improvisation or a mixture of all of these can come together in one evening.

The format is deliberately kept open: no openers, no band presentations, no fixed slots. If you want to play, come along, bring your own instrument if possible and join in. Those who prefer to listen stay at the bar, sit in the hall, meet people and experience how the first chords, beats, bass lines or melodies turn into an evening together.

The hall is open from 6 p.m. for set-up and sound check. Anyone interested in sound and lighting technology can help out, take a look and get a practical insight into event operations. The session starts at 7 pm. Drinks and snacks are available at the bar in the hall or at Fidels.
