Have you ever read a sentence many times and then suddenly discovered a new meaning in it? Or have you looked at the same picture countless times in everyday life and suddenly seen something new and asked yourself: Why have I never noticed that before? Herbert Fritsch's unique, joyful and hilarious theater works often thrive on repetition. Bodies repeat sequences until they go crazy, like dervishes free from giddiness. Sentences go round in circles and sound like music. The meaning disappears, then reappears the next moment and makes you laugh in surprise. Sometimes you have to get dizzy to find solid ground under your feet, and sometimes you discover a new truth in the dizziness.

When this booklet is printed, nobody knows what will happen on stage later. (But it won't be a themed evening about vertigo.) For Herbert Fritsch, the title is an impulse. An impulse to go on stage and act and speak. Because, after all, cheating in the theater is something like our job description. But the decisive factor is desire. The joy is crucial. Because: "It don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that swing."
