Searching for Home stands for excitement, diversity and breaking down genre boundaries. The eleven-piece band collective with musicians and producers from all over Germany overruns clubs and festivals with great sound, high energy and fat beats, without missing out on rich colors and fragile moments. Led by the versatile voice of singer Ida, the musicians impress not only with their flashes of solo creativity but above all with their collective feel for the moment and the audience. With influences ranging from jazz and funk to indie rock, classical and world music, you could accuse them of not knowing what they want. But the opposite is the case here: they know exactly what they want, they simply don't want to leave anything behind on their journey.
In their album "Hidden Errors", released in 2022, the band deals with questions of belonging, interpersonal relationships and being overwhelmed by their own emotions, without losing their optimistic and energetic focus. In addition to their fans on a Europe-wide release tour, Searching for Home was also able to convince several top-class juries, so that they received first prizes at the Sparda Jazz Award and the international Jazzfruit Contest of Mladí Ladí Jazz in Prague in 2023.
