Second Skin – Mein Körper, meine Identität

INTERAKT's "Second Skin - My Body, My Identity" project responds to the increasing pressure to conform due to standardized beauty ideals, consumer trends and social media, which particularly affects FLINTA*, older people and people with disabilities. Clothing is understood as a "second skin" - as an expression of identity, body reality and social practice.

In an inclusive, participatory process, 13 participants from Stuttgart work together with 11 fashion, costume and textile designers to develop sustainable, individual items of clothing. The process incorporates impulses from art and fashion science, from research into adaptive and inclusive fashion and from textile and fiber research.
