From free jazz and funk to rock and folk: the celebrated drummer Erwin Ditzner presents a varied concert program in the museum with his series. For each performance, Ditzner invites other fellow musicians, resulting in musically varied constellations. In May, the series continues with the latest formation, consisting of Erwin Ditzner and Simon Seeleuther, who will celebrate their debut on Saturday, May 11 at 8 pm with "Double your Trouble". Ditzner will play the drums, while Simon Seeleuther will contribute guitar, pedal steel and vocals.
The ticket price is 15 euros, concessions 10 euros.
With great respect for the roots of the blues, the two musicians from the Rhine-Neckar delta follow their need to break up rigid forms and give their music a face of its own. They conjure up the magic of a constantly repeated riff, explore dynamic extremes, indulge in spontaneous dialogs and enjoy the freedom of musical togetherness.
In Ditzner's powerful and precise playing, the rustic pulse of stomping feet can always be felt, while Seeleuther combines traditional playing styles with a rock attitude on his slide guitars. The passionate and rousing performance of their music speaks directly to the soul and body of the audience.
