Shanties and more on Juist

The Seemannsbräute: Two women with two voices and two accordions. Not much more is needed. They sing songs from the seafaring world - but not just like that, no, because the two sailor brides change this music and make it modern, interesting, simply different. It's about laughing and questioning the music, simply having fun.

Please note: This is a walk act, which means that the Seemannsbräute walk across the Kurplatz and through the town during this concert. They enjoy interacting with the spectators. At 20:00 there will be a concert on the Kurplatz as you know it.

The sailor's brides

Astrid Hauke: The multi-award-winning artist and freelance lecturer embodies pure joie de vivre. What makes her special: As an ambassador of happiness, she radiates good humor and stands for more humanity, closeness and trust. Known on Juist for her mindfulness days and ukulele workshops "Joy in Winter".

Stefanie Lubrich studied cultural studies, musicology and literature and has been a passionate singer since the age of five. She has been active as a choir director and vocal coach in Bremen since 2004.
