KAYEF was born on November 20, 1994 in Düsseldorf and began writing his first songs at the age of 12. To this day, he freely draws on various genres such as pop, rap, R'n'B and rock, combining mostly urban beats with soulful, authentic lyrics and catchy melodies.

Alongside school, he began sharing his own music on social networks from his childhood bedroom in 2009, building up an audience at a young age via Myspace, YouTube and Instagram.

At the age of 18, the Düsseldorf native moved away from home, broke off his training as a media designer and put everything on one card for his dream of becoming a musician.

Since his first album in 2013, KAYEF - real name Kai Fichtner - has built up a loyal fan base on his own and without a major record company. He touches over a million people a month with his songs on Spotify alone. His most successful tracks "Ich würd lügen" with over 80 million streams and "Musik" with over 50 million streams have been used more than 100,000 times on TikTok.

He collects gold and platinum awards throughout the German-speaking world, three of his seven albums chart in the top 10. In January 2023, he also plays a concert at the famous Elbphilharmonie Hamburg with Wincent Weiss, followed by two almost sold-out tours at the end of 2023 and end of 2024.

These are just some of the milestones that KAYEF has achieved together with his over 500,000 fans on YouTube and Instagram and 330,000 followers on TikTok.

The busy musician is a real do-it-yourselfer: he founded his own label Kayef Media in 2020. He markets all of his music himself and also supports other artists with their projects. For example, KAYEF is jointly responsible for various artworks by Topic, merchandise designs by Nico Santos and song lyrics by Samra, Vanessa Mai and Wincent Weiss.

The most important thing, however, is of course his own output and the passion with which he presents his songs on stage. His performance is characterized by dedication and passion, and his fans love him for his humour.

Whether discreetly acoustic or backed by a strong band, KAYEF's energy is infectious. In November 2024, KAYEF will go on an extensive tour of Germany, and he can also be seen at several open airs and events in the summer.
