Under the motto "Sesame Street. 50 Years Who, How, What!", visitors to the MK&G can immerse themselves in the entertaining world of Ernie & Bert, Elmo and the Cookie Monster on 700 square meters and take a look behind the scenes of the globally successful television format. The exhibition, created in cooperation with NDR, focuses for the first time on the design and craft production of the legendary show and asks how the puppets, sets, costumes, props and music pieces are developed and who are the creative minds and skilled hands behind the imaginative characters, animations and settings.
The exhibition features original Sesame Street figures and film sets, as well as long-lost rarities from private collections. A puppet workshop, interactive stations and a varied accompanying program invite visitors to participate.
