Seth Lakeman was catapulted into the musical mainstream when he was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2005 for his album "Kitty Jay". Inspired by the legends and stories of Dartmoor, where Seth grew up, it was produced by his older brother Sean Lakeman and cost just £300 to make after he recorded it in his kitchen in a Dartmoor village.

Several albums, tours and high-profile collaborations later, the acclaimed folk artist is now preparing for the release of his latest studio album "The Granite Way", which will be released on February 14, 2026 on his own label Honour Oak Records. It is a collection of songs that he has recorded together with longtime collaborators. Seth stays true to his roots and refers to old stories from his home region of West County.
