With his creative approach to mixing cultures, Shantel became the audible face of a different Germany worldwide, being the first to inject a cosmopolitan sound into pop culture here.
With him, migration is audible and danceable. Musical gems from Southeastern Europe, the Middle East or the Mediterranean appear in a new, multi-layered context, so that the culture from which they originate can also be experienced intuitively. His method is cultural mixing and sampling: taking things out of context and transferring them into a new one.
Club culture as a concept that is constantly evolving and not as a museum in which the eternally same is repeated - as in Berlin, where thousands of tourists wait in front of the Berghain to experience the predictable.
