The quartet is the result of a long-standing collaboration between the Tuscan pianist Daniele Gorgone, who has already collaborated, recorded and toured extensively with international jazz stars such as Jesse Davis, Scott Hamilton, Grant Stewart and Peter King, and the singer Shawnn Monteiro (daughter of Duke Ellington's bassist Jimmy Woode), who has been well-known on the international jazz scene for many years. The evening's repertoire consists of completely reinterpreted standards for a concert full of groove, captivating melody lines and extraordinary energy, supported by exceptional musicians such as Oscar Georges on drums and Nicolas Rageau on double bass.
