"Shorties" presents thematically linked contributions from puppet theater, dance and film. The result is a multifaceted evening that combines lightness and artistic seriousness and helps to connect people with very different artistic experiences.

What do objects from the 1920s tell us about today? When contemporary witnesses fall silent, "contemporary things" take over. What do (for example) coal-fired irons, a First World War dress uniform, a Produx calculating machine, a large kitchen mortar with pestle, a porcelain pipe with the portrait of a Prussian prince, tattered parasols for strolling, the first pack of Tempo handkerchiefs, the newly invented Leukoplast and, of course, a gramophone tell us? Between humor and concern, they illuminate parallels between then and now - from technological breakthroughs to populism. A theatrical mind game that searches for ways of solidarity in history.

This interdisciplinary dance performance project uses the spider's web as a metaphor for human existence. In a combination of physical, visual and audio language, it visualizes elastic concepts such as time, love and freedom as elastic rubber bands. Strength alone is not enough. Resilience arises from flexibility and adapting to the unpredictability of life. A philosophical exploration of the delicate balance between stability and freedom.
