Which movements remain in the mind as images and develop symbolic or even emancipative power? In addition to questions of belonging and legibility, new, sometimes uncanny views are cast on moving bodies and their silent presence. BLUEPRINT explores which movements, everyday or even activist gestures linger in the mind as images and then develop symbolic, political or even emancipatory power in a social context.
The research on different forms of gestures deals with their classification in cultural and social contexts and is interested in the potential of their multi-layered (un)legibility. On the one hand, gestures refer us to the iconography of cultural patterns, which implicitly always negotiate questions of the political. On the other hand, they are also a decisive part of unconscious interpersonal communication and the associated body language.

Anke Politz, director of the Chamäleon Theater Berlin, will moderate the post-show discussion and share her experiences and individual impressions with the audience.

The performances of BLUEPRINT will take place from March 8 to 10, 2024 at LOFFT - DAS THEATER.
