In the organizer's words:
>Showtime< for young art - Lower Saxony Youth Culture Prize at the Künstlerhaus Hannover
On June 7, the Künstlerhaus Hannover and the Cumberlandsche Bühne in the Schauspielhaus will become a hotspot for young creativity: from 11am to 4.30 pm, the winners of the Lower Saxony Youth Culture Prize will present their projects - sometimes loudly, sometimes quietly, but always surprisingly.
The program includes a film collage, a performative exhibition, a fashion show, a play, a music video, a social art project, a comic book and a theater performance. Themed exhibitions, for example on images of women, are also part of the varied >Showtime< program.
In terms of content, the young talents cast a wide net: right-wing extremism, feminism, friendship, pressure to perform, sustainability and the search for oneself - everything plays a role, often with a personal touch and social relevance.
The event is the final of the Lower Saxony Youth Culture Prize. For ten years, the State Association for Cultural Youth Education (LKJ) and the Lower Saxony Foundation have been supporting young people between the ages of 14 and 21 in the realization of their cultural ideas. They receive professional support from the artists Anna Grunemann and Christiane Oppermann. The results will be presented as a premiere at >Showtime<. Lower Saxony's Minister President Olaf Lies (SPD) is the patron of the event.
