In the organizer's words:

Ceramist Nicole Thoss is known for her photo collages on ceramic objects.

During this weekend, you will learn how her work is created and get to know the various printing techniques for ceramics. You will try out all the methods in practice, with a focus on screen printing techniques.

You will produce your own printing screen with one or more personal motifs, which can be used at any time later for the surface design of your own ceramic works. Beforehand, however, the printed motifs will be snipped with scissors and a scalpel, combined, duplicated, cut up, experimented with and put together. Design principles, approaches and implementation possibilities are worked out. This creates stories, fragments, allusions, patterns and surfaces. There will be plenty of room for an informal approach to images and materials.

We look forward to curious and experimental participants who enjoy exploring and developing ideas.
