SIGN CITY

A Creative Forest of Signs – With the exhibition SIGN CITY , the Urbanshit Gallery brings the street—in the literal sense of “street art”—into the gallery and swaps public space for gallery space for ten days. On display are over 40 works of art by 30 international artists, created exclusively on old street signs and barriers. 

The traffic signs will not be hung on the gallery walls as usual, but will be presented in a sort of “forest of signs,” just as they are found on the street. This marks the third time that the international urban art exhibition SIGN CITY has brought the street into the Urbanshit Gallery, creating an interplay that swaps the urban outdoor space with the artistic interior of the otherwise rather minimalist gallery.

The exhibition will be open for ten days starting July 10, 2026, at the centrally located gallery in Ottensen. Admission is free.
