The singer-songwriter duo from Oldenburg invites you again. For the sixth time. And when they invite you, the crème de la crème of the German singer-songwriter scene will be playing their guitars - or whatever other instruments are needed.
Simon & Jan (Prix Pantheon 2014, Deutscher Kleinkunstpreis 2016, Bayerischer Kabarettpreis 2016, Salzburger Stier 2019, among others) lead you through an evening with a selection of their favorite songwriters. They play each other's songs, enter the stage together, accompanied by the sofa band, melt away together or tear down the stage - you never know beforehand.

In just a few years, Martin Bechler, head of the Cologne indie cult band Fortuna Ehrenfeld, has taken the band from a lousy pub concert to a sold-out Philharmonie.
When he sits down solo at the piano - as on the recently released double vinyl from Cologne's Kulturkirche - the minimalist versions reveal their true depths and edges.
"Once the left ventricle is poured out over the keyboard and the right one is thrown furiously behind it," says Martin.
For fans of floating Fortuna piano ballads, this record is (second) heaven! Bechler doesn't ask any questions, but gives answers line by line to the lead in the bones and the pressure in the chest and head after two years of disciplined slow motion. His songs are played at weddings and funerals, his linguistically adept lyrics are often quoted.
Bunger's concerts are an experience. A unique blend of emotionally intellectual indie pop, in which head and heart balance each other out over the course of the evening. The sensitively told stories often move to tears or moments of happiness. From the famous audible pinprick in piano ballads, to danceable euphoria in sing-along anthems, to complete escalation in post-rock or rave moments, everything is included. The native East Frisian became famous throughout Germany sometime between 2010 and 2012 with his melancholy songs about love, separation ("Regen") and friendship ("Ponyhof"), but he never shies away from more difficult topics in his lyrics.
In the knowledge that "the biggest shit can sometimes be the best fertilizer for art", he faces up to transience, social abysses such as racism and, as a sufferer himself, writes empowering anthems about and against the widespread disease of depression, and sings sometimes motivating, sometimes cynically ironic, sometimes angry protest songs in times of the global climate crisis.
