Simona De Rosa is one of those voices that cannot be pigeonholed into one genre. Her art thrives on movement - on switching between styles, languages and cultural influences. As a singer with roots in jazz, especially swing, she combines the tradition of this music with elements from the most diverse regions of the world, creating a sound that is both familiar and surprising.

Her technical precision and sense of rhythm and phrasing are evident in swing. But De Rosa does not stop there. She expands the classical vocabulary of jazz to include influences from Mediterranean music, Latin American rhythms and other global timbres. This openness makes her a true "transformer" - an artist who not only crosses musical boundaries, but consciously dissolves them.
