A multidisciplinary music project in Persian - "Echo's van den Bergen" combines live music and poetry. A poetic reflection on identity, memory and resilience.

The concert series Sirup presents the Belgian-Iranian musician Farnoosh accompanied by Shahab Azinmehr & Joachim Thys.

Music is at the heart of the work - intimate, searching and rooted in Farnoosh's early childhood at the foot of the Zagros Mountains in Iran.
Together, the three musicians interweave Persian musical traditions with contemporary composition and improvisation, creating a lively and deeply moving world of sound that builds bridges. In addition to newly composed music, traditional songs from Farnoosh's childhood have been reinterpreted and rearranged by the trio.

Special guests: Anna & Svitlana Sonyk - traditional Ukrainian music with bandura, vocals & heart.

With Sirup, kargah has initiated a new concert series that blurs musical boundaries and puts female* artists in the spotlight. Sirup is a new stage for sounds that don't want to be categorized!
