Sitartronic – Pekoslavsky| Tamburi Mundi Festival 2025

In the organizer's words:

itartronic/Pekoslavsky is a unique duo that combines the sound of the traditional Indian sitar with the percussion instrument handpan. The duo Tomasz Orszulak (sitar, electric guitar) and Michał Pękosz (handpans, frame drums) released their first album together in May 2024.

Their main source of inspiration is the classical Indian ragas, whose timeless beauty has the power to transport listeners to different places and eras and evoke multi-layered musical stories in the mind's eye.

At the same time, the two musicians describe their style as future ethno, a genre in which Indian and ethnic influences, trance-like rhythms and expansive electronics blend with atmospheric ambient and jazz.
