In the organizer's words:

Sixth June was founded in 2007 by visual artist Laslo Antal and actress Lidija Andonov.

Originally from Belgrade, the band moved to Berlin in 2010 and released seven albums for some of the best alternative music labels in Europe, including the Italian label Mannequin Records, the Berlin label aufnahme+wiedergabe, The state51 Conspiracy from London, Cleopatra Records from Lost Angeles and Young and Cold Records from Augsburg. Most recently, they released their music via Sweet Sensation, a label they founded in 2020 together with composer Andy Pavlov.

Over the years, Sixth June have played in various clubs and at festivals such as Berghain in Berlin and the Exit Festival in Novi Sad and toured Europe, Latin and South America.

In addition to the music, the visual aspects of the band take center stage. Videos, sets, design and photography are created by the band members themselves and add a personal touch to their distinctive sound. Music videos and live projections are an integral part of Sixth June's performance.
The band members are closely associated with film, theater and video art, giving Sixth June not only their music but their entire image a distinctive character.

The Berliner Zeitung characterizes their music as "sweet, cool, dark electropop", while Vice describes Sixth June's music as "music for dreaming and for new beginnings".
