SKAOS are not only in the Champions League here in Germany when it comes to contemporary, modern SKA. Since their foundation in 1982, the 'Invincible Seven' have made a first-class name for themselves worldwide with their unmistakable and party-ready ska-reggae brew. The whole thing is made up of a lightning-fast offbeat, booming reggae grooves, occasionally powerful rocking guitars, an infallible horn section and frontman Mr. Mad Wolley's sometimes rough, sometimes screaming voice. The typical Skaos sound is characterized by a special variety of styles without being unfaithful to its Jamaican-British roots!

The band has released 9 albums and is represented on numerous national and international samplers. Countless shows have taken Skaos all over Europe and even as far as Japan. As pioneers of German 3rd Wave Ska, the band can be mentioned in the same breath as THE BUSTERS, BLECHREIZ, NO SPORTS or EL BOSSO and celebrates its fortieth anniversary in 2022! As with many bands with such a long history, Skaos has undergone several line-up changes over the years, giving the band a "rejuvenation cure" in terms of age - two band members weren't even born when the band was founded!

Why are SKAOS still around, while other ska combos have long since disappeared into the land of oblivion? "For one thing, the success of a genre band like us is not based on commercial chart placings or sales figures," all band members agree. A small, but close fan base is much more important: "Our elixir of life is friendship, making music and, of course, the sweat of the audience."

The Mofos
This is handmade rock music, based on skapunk, without being influenced by other musical styles. Powerful, intense and always driving. With rousing brass riffs, rocking guitar solos and grooving ska beats.
The musical style of The Mofos is made up of a wide variety of genres in which the various band members are at home, but are united by their love of ska and punk. These different musical backgrounds create the unique sound of ska, punk, rock'n'roll, hip hop, reggae and other musical influences.
