The poetry slam for under-22s at Atze Berlin, right on Amrumer Straße Wedding.

Whether thoughtful poetry or funny stand-up: anything that can be done with words is allowed on this stage. The three rules of poetry slam apply: 1. only self-written texts 2. no props 3. a time limit, in this case of 5 minutes. The special feature: none* of the performers is over 22 years old. The line-up list is open - so you can just sign up beforehand. As the up-and-coming slam among the Kiezpoeten shows in Berlin, the "Poetry Slam of the Youth" is aimed primarily at teenagers and young adults. Your topics. Your style.

No matter whether you already have performance experience or want to breathe completely new stage air: You are welcome here. We take care of you. In cooperation with the Sprengelhaus, there will probably be a free, open workshop. One week before the slam you can work on your technique, practice your performance and get valuable feedback from poetry slammers. This way you will feel confident when you step on stage at the Atze.

As an audience member, you can expect a diverse and varied line-up with texts that speak to you from the soul. From people who know your life. Not every text will be polished to the last word and performatively perfected. But absolutely authentic.

Especially suitable for school groups: The rooms of the Atze Theater offer a lot of space and all possibilities to welcome a school group. Dear teachers or supervisors: Please contact us as early as possible so that we can plan with you. You will receive a special school group discount: The "group price" of 25€ is valid for 5 persons - but please note: These persons must appear together at the entrance with one ticket and be admitted together.
