SONGSLAM NEUKÖLLN - Wine, Vibes and Singing

Nothing in the air but hands, melody and rhythm. Sounds, hot breath, speakers and spotlights, that's what a Songslam feels like. Six singers/songwriters face your judgment, you reward them with your applause.

On these evenings, anything goes: chanson, acoustic punk, musical cabaret or bluegrass-flamenco-indiecore. One hundred and twenty minutes of over-the-top competition with handmade music and real feelings in the large hall of the Heimathafen. It's all about cheers, fame, glory, booze and a bag of throat gold. The principles are: No bands, no show dancers, no covers and certainly no plastic. The biggest songslam in the country is moderated by the two Berlin slam and reading stage authors Tilman Birr and Piet Weber.
