Sloe Noon is singer and guitarist Anna Olivia Böke, who draws her inspiration from the two countries she has lived in. With influences from British alternative rock and the krautrock beats of the Ruhr region, Sloe Noon creates a unique blend of guitar-driven pop, grunge and shoegaze. Her name comes from a visit to a chip shop in her former home of Brighton, where she played around with fridge poetry magnets on the walls. Later, combined with a sloe gin nightcap offered to her by her grandma, it was all clear. It took some time to free her creations from the shackles of her bedroom.
