In the organizer's words:

Our Christmas concert opens with Smetana's famous symphonic poem "The Vltava". The music paints an almost pictorial picture of the course of the river - from its bubbling source to the full width at which it flows into the Elbe. You can hear nature, rustling forests and even a wedding in the countryside. A homage to Smetana's Bohemian homeland, which is so close to us.
Hummel's Trumpet Concerto in E major is a sparkling highlight. With virtuoso runs and radiant melodies, it shows the trumpet at its best. Lucienne Renaudin Vary, a master on her instrument, plays it for us!
Dvořák's Symphony No. 5 combines Czech folk music and romantic orchestral colors to create music that touches the heart and soul. From idyllic sounds to rousing drama - the Bohemian master of melodies takes us on an atmospheric musical journey.
