With Soliloquio (I woke up and hit my head against the wall), Tiziano Cruz merges the sound of the caja with the story of his life and the voices of local Latin American communities. Based on 58 letters he wrote to his mother from Buenos Aires to the province of Jujuy in 2020, he criticizes the ongoing political, social and ecological mechanisms of oppression of the Argentine state that threaten indigenous communities. Between memories and the repressed, the personal and the collective, in his soliloquy the artist measures the feeling of being a stranger in his own country and asks with touching intensity: What place does my indigenous body have in a white system that keeps my perspectives invisible? What does it mean to create art with it and to use it as capital?

The interdisciplinary artist Tiziano Cruz, who lives in Buenos Aires, combines visual and theatrical language, performance and artistic intervention in public space in his works. Tiziano Cruz was a scholarship holder of the Fondo Nacional de las Artes and the Instituto Nacional del Teatro ARG. He was the winner of the Bienal de Arte Joven 2019 and the ANTI Prize 2023. He is the founder of the cultural management platform ULMUS, which is dedicated to mediating between different cultural organizations in Argentina and neighboring countries. He worked as a content producer at the Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires. He has toured with his work in Chile, Brazil, Mexico, USA, Canada, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Germany and Finland.
