Felix has always been a happy medium. Felix likes coffee and Maultaschen, rarely uses washcloths and brushes his teeth three times a day. He is an only child, his childhood was happy. Now Felix is not unhappy, but he is not happy either. Felix is suddenly on the edge. Life in the new city is challenging, friendships are changing. Slowly, he loses contact with himself and others.

How can Felix find his way back to the golden mean? He pushes his way onto the stage. It's time for his version of the story. Felix is convinced that what is good for him is also good for others. That he is not drifting into the void. Meanwhile, goldfish Niklas is doing his rounds in the aquarium.

Fabian Hartje shows, layer by layer, how a character begins to create an alternative reality for himself despite his privileges and social connections. The text raises questions about the reliability of self-narratives and the consequences of loneliness.
